Interventional radiology resident physician.
About
Varun Danda, MD, is an interventional radiology resident physician. Interventional radiologists are trained in diagnostic radiology, reading imaging such as X-ray, ultrasound, CT and MRI. They also use that imaging to guide small instruments through the body, often through a pinhole instead of a large incision. Varun built ProcedurePath to help patients understand minimally invasive options like uterine fibroid embolization (UFE), prostate artery embolization (PAE), and genicular artery embolization (GAE) before their appointments. He writes and reviews every page against current society guidelines and the published studies cited on each page, and updates pages when the evidence changes. ProcedurePath is educational only and does not give personal medical advice. Please talk with your own doctor about your care.
How content is written and reviewed
- Education only. ProcedurePath articles explain common topics in plain language. They do not diagnose, recommend a treatment, or replace a visit with your own clinician.
- Grounded in current guidelines and cited sources. Pages reference society guidelines and the published studies listed in each article’s sources section. Wording is updated when major guidance changes.
- Review and updates. Each guide records when it was last updated, and pages are re-reviewed as guidelines change.
- Not medical advice. Nothing on ProcedurePath creates a physician-patient relationship or gives personal medical care.
- Talk with your doctor. Use these pages to prepare questions; your clinician can explain what applies to your symptoms, imaging, and goals.
